Fall 2026: The Wild West as seen by W Magazine

Some aesthetics return simply because they are in fashion.

And then there are those that never truly fade away.

The Wild West belongs to that second category.

For our Fall 2026 session, W Magazine took some of the most iconic codes of the American West—leather, denim, warm shadows, attitude, and bodies bathed in an almost cinematic light—and brought them into a much more contemporary territory.

We didn't want to recreate the old west.

We wanted to re-envision it.

The result is a collection photographed in Medellín by Julio Cesar, where eleven models build eleven distinct ways to embody the same vision. Because a great editorial doesn't just rely on the wardrobe or the setting. It depends on who steps in front of the lens and what they decide to do with it.

This is a concept we've explored before at W Magazine. In editorials like the one with Antony Walker, photography becomes a way of capturing evolution, presence, and identity. And that same philosophy runs right through our Fall 2026 collection.

One West, Eleven Stories

With Yelena Miller, the Wild West takes on a warm, intimate sensuality. There is confidence, but never rigidity. The camera captures a femininity that feels completely natural, precisely because it doesn't need to try too hard to explain itself.

Victoria Lois takes the collection into bolder, more daring territory. Leather, red tones, and pure attitude create a version of the West where the leading lady isn't waiting for someone to hand over the reins. She already has them.

With Valentino Xander, the narrative shifts once again. The masculine aesthetic becomes darker, more physical, and highly sophisticated, using contrast to elevate every frame into something closer to a fine art portrait than a simple fashion photograph.

Troye Williams brings a different energy. More relaxed, spontaneous, and effortlessly simple. But that's exactly where the magic lies: when you have true presence in front of the camera, you don't need to overcomplicate the frame for it to work.

In the editorial featuring Seth Vega, visual power is born from simplicity. Shadows, definition, and an almost sculptural focus on the body transform the Wild West concept into something decidedly contemporary.

And then there is Mia Volkova, who brings a fresh, feminine, and delightfully playful energy. Her interpretation proves that western doesn't have to be solemn—it can also be playful, sultry, and incredibly modern.

Attitude Over Costume

This was perhaps one of the most important guiding principles of this collection.

The Wild West shouldn't feel like a costume.

We wanted to draw references from that classic imagery while allowing each model to truly make it their own.

That is why Máximo de la Vega projects an intense, polished masculinity, while Lucia Saanvi steers the collection into a softer, urban, and highly versatile vibe.

The same creative direction yielding two completely unique results.

And that's where the beauty lies.

Visual identity shouldn't overshadow the person in front of the camera. It should give them a stage to shine and be even more unforgettable.

A Collection Shaped Behind the Lens of Julio Cesar

The photography of Julio Cesar acts as the thread that beautifully weaves this entire collection together.

With Ezzio Scolaro, the warm lighting creates an intimate and relaxed masculine editorial.

With Apolo Makris, that same visual sensibility finds a perfect balance between strength, clean lines, and allure.

And with Agatha, the Wild West universe takes on a brighter, softer, and more feminine tone, offering a delicate contrast to some of the collection's more intense portraits.

This ability to tailor the photography to the individual, rather than forcing everyone into the same rigid formula, is what gives a collection cohesion without ever feeling repetitive.
