There are moves within a company that require months of planning.

And there are others that, when they appear, simply make perfect sense.

The arrival of Juan Manuel Moncada to the Business Advisors team at The Webcam Company definitely belongs to the second category.

A few months ago, we featured Juan Manuel in our magazine in Anatomy of Performance: Juan Manuel Moncada, Training Manager at TWC, where we talked about his work developing talent, coordinating our training strategy, and helping models and studios identify the platforms, strategies, and opportunities that best fit their strengths.

Today, the next chapter begins.

October: A Month of Transition

Throughout October, Juan Manuel will be progressively transitioning from his current training responsibilities to the TWC commercial team.

Starting November 1st, he will officially assume his new role as Business Advisor, working directly with models, studios, and partners within an increasingly specialized support structure.

When Juan Manuel expressed his interest in joining the advisory team, the conversation was quite simple.

It made sense.

During his time leading training processes, he had already developed a great deal of the skills we consider essential for an advisor: listening, analyzing results, knowing the platforms, identifying opportunities, and, especially, understanding that no two careers are exactly alike.

Because a great business advisor at TWC isn't here simply to manage an account.

They are here to know the talent behind it.

This is a philosophy we've explained before when talking about why top webcam models choose representation over simple monetization. Processing earnings is important, but building a career requires strategy, knowledge, follow-up, and long-term professional relationships.

Juan Manuel already knew that side of the job from another angle.

Now, he will be even closer to it.

A Transition that Also Opens Space for Growth

Juan Manuel's move also opens up a exciting new phase within our training team.

During October, Juliana Restrepo will progressively begin to take on the responsibilities currently managed by Juan Manuel in this area, ensuring continuity in our training processes while he completes his transition to the commercial team.

Juliana is no stranger to those who follow W Magazine either.

In Anatomy of Performance: Juliana Restrepo and the Mind that Translates Strategy into Presence, we highlighted her ability to convert strategy into execution, maintain consistency across multiple fronts, and understand how every piece of a brand must align with a larger goal.

Now, that same organizational skill, judgment, and execution will find a new home within our training processes.

This transition will allow Juan Manuel to guide Juliana through October, sharing methodology, processes, and accumulated knowledge before fully stepping into his new responsibilities on November 1st.

This isn't just about replacing one person with another.

It is about transferring knowledge and continuing to nurture talent within our organization.

We Grow Because Our Models Are also Evolving

The timing couldn't be more perfect.

Demand for The Webcam Company's services continues to grow, particularly among independent models looking for something different from the traditional studio structure, yet who don't want to navigate their careers completely alone.

As we've been pointing out in our magazine, being independent doesn't mean working without support.

In fact, as models gain more autonomy, the support they expect from an agency becomes much more specialized.

It's no longer just about opening accounts, troubleshooting, or running training sessions.

It's about understanding a career.

Analyzing results. Identifying opportunities. Reviewing platforms. Discussing strategy. Accompanying decisions. Spotting when something is working and, perhaps even more importantly, when it's time to pivot.

This growth has made it essential to expand our advisory team.

And before looking outside, we love to look at the incredible talent we already have within TWC.

Careers are Also Built Within TWC

There's another reason why this transition is so exciting for us.

We want The Webcam Company to be a place where you can genuinely build a professional career.

A company that constantly talks about evolution, growth, and development cannot limit those ideas solely to its models.

They must also exist for our team.

Juan Manuel reached his current position by working directly with training and talent development. That experience gave him a deep understanding of the industry, the platforms, and, above all, the real needs of models and studios.

Now, that knowledge opens up a fresh professional opportunity within the same company.

At the same time, his transition creates a fantastic opportunity for Juliana, allowing her to take on greater responsibilities and continue expanding her own path within TWC.

For us, this represents exactly the kind of mobility we want to keep fostering.

People can discover new strengths. Roles can evolve. Responsibilities can grow.

And when someone demonstrates capability, commitment, and the desire to take on a new challenge, we want to make sure there is a path to do so.

An Advantage that's Hard to Teach

Juan Manuel also joins the commercial area with something particularly valuable: he already knows how to help develop talent.

He knows how to have the real, honest conversations.

He knows the difference between a strategy that sounds good on paper and one that actually works on camera.

He has seen how small adjustments can transform results and how consistency, discipline, and knowledge ultimately turn into sustainable careers—something we also explored in Seven Habits that Strengthen a Long-Term Career.

That experience doesn't disappear just because his job title changes.

It becomes his ultimate advantage.

Because advising well requires much more than just knowing the numbers.

It requires understanding people.

The Next Chapter

TWC is evolving too.

For nearly two decades, we have evolved alongside an industry that is moving toward more independent models, more specialized services, and much closer relationships between talent and agency.

Our response has been to build around that reality.

More infrastructure. Better tools. Deep knowledge. And, especially, a dedicated team of advisors capable of maintaining close relationships with the models and studios who trust us.

It's part of the same evolution that led us to think of TWC as something that goes far beyond monetization: a complete structure where technology, payments, training, strategy, and personal support work together around your career.

During October, Juan Manuel and Juliana will be writing this next chapter.

He, preparing to officially step up as Business Advisor starting November 1st.

She, progressively taking on the responsibility to keep strengthening our training processes.

Two different moves, but built on the exact same philosophy:

when TWC grows, we want our people to have the opportunity to grow right along with us.
