For Colombia, we are taking a brief pause today

Sometimes, there are moments when the daily routine simply has to wait.

Yesterday, August 10, 2026, Colombia was shaken by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake, with its epicenter in the department of Chocó. The tremor was felt across a large part of the country, causing severe damage in various regions, especially in western Colombia.

Today, here at The Webcam Company, we want to take a pause.

A pause from the platforms, the strategies, the percentages, the rankings, and everything else that usually fills this space.

Because today, there is something much more important.

Colombia is our home

TWC was born and grew in Colombia. Based in Medellín, we have spent years building a community of models, studios, collaborators, photographers, professionals, friends, and families from different regions of the country.

That is why what happened yesterday is not just distant news to us.

It is something that deeply touches our community.

Behind every statistic on the news, there is a person, a family, a home, a business, and a life story that changed in just seconds. As search, rescue, and damage assessment efforts continue, the full scale of this tragedy is still unfolding.

Today, our thoughts are especially with those most affected

Our solidarity goes out to the communities of Chocó and all the regions that suffered from the impact of the earthquake.

To those who lost a loved one.

To those who were injured.

To those who look at their home, their neighborhood, or their city differently today than they did yesterday.

And also to those who have been working since the very first hours of the emergency: rescue teams, medical staff, authorities, volunteers, and citizens who simply chose to help those standing right beside them.

Moments like this remind us that a community is not only defined by what it builds when everything is going well.

It is also defined by how it responds when someone needs a helping hand.

We are a community

From Medellín, we want to send a simple message to every member of our community who has been directly or indirectly affected:

You are not alone.

Today, our prayers, thoughts, and support are with you, your families, and everyone facing difficult times in the wake of this tragedy.

Tomorrow, we will talk about work again.

Today, we stand for Colombia.

We are right here with you. 🇨🇴
